As a small business owner I’ve found one of the easiest ways to get help with my small business tax is to contact the ATO. They have a range of free services to help you get it right.

There’s a Small Business Assist Tool on the ATO website. Just type in a question and it provides tailored information online.

If you want to speak with someone at the ATO after hours.

They’re available Monday to Thursday nights between 6 and 9pm - on the phone, or you can chat online.

You can even book an ATO officer to help you personally. 

Any information you share is confidential – they are there to support you. 

The ATO also have regular webinars.

They’re a free online service where you can also ask questions. 

They’re about 45 minutes long and you can join the right topic through the ATO’s website. 

The Australian Taxation Office can help you with your small business.
